comment
Domestic automakers have started expanding in scale in international markets and a large sales growth in the overseas auto market is to be seen this year.
Overseas auto market in Africa and Mid-east are booming, according to an employee of Haima Auto. Haima has established the first KD factory in Russia in February, and the second is to be built soon in Belarus. The next step for the company is to enter the South American market, specifically the Brazilian.
The largest exporter is Chery. The carmaker entered the Australian market in February with its A1/T11. It will launch Chery A3 domestically in June. The expected sales volume of Chery this year is 5,000 units. The company also plans to increase the number of dealers in Australia to 90 in two years. It is also the first Chinese carmaker to build factories in Brazil.
Developing in the overseas market is of great benefit for domestic companies to build brand image, according to experts in the industry.
