Dongfeng Citroen recalls 18,000 units of 2.3L C5

The Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen Automobile Company Ltd. (DPCA) Monday started a recall of 18,101 units of Dongfeng Citroen 2.3L C5 manufactured from September 11, 2009 to July 19, 2010, media reported Wednesday.

Due to an insufficiency of space between the fuel pipe and the hood, which can cause the pipe to be worn out in extreme conditions, DPCA will change the defected hood of the cars at no cost.

The recall will last until February 16, 2011 and C5 owners can dial 400-886-6688 for more information.
