Great Wall Florid tops sales in China after 5 months

Great Wall Florid sold 18,730 units in the first five months of 2009, which propels it to the No. 1 spot in sales among A0, or small vehicles.

The Great Wall Motor Co. is China’s largest manufacturer of sports utility vehicles, or SUVs. It reports 80,000 Great Wall units were sold in the first five months this year in China, 83.2 percent higher from a year earlier.

Its growth is contributed by the introduction of fuel efficient sedan models, such as the 1.3L, 1.5L GW Florid and 1.5L Coolbear.
