Wholesale prices of gasoline and diesel fell in the first two weeks of the month in some Chinese cities, according to a survey released yesterday by the Beijing News.
Petroleum product prices dropped from 50 yuan ($7.32) to 600 yuan ($87.82) in cities such as Chongqing, Chengdu, Changsha and Fuzhou.
Prices in Beijing stayed at the maximum price set by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
NDRC raised prices by 600 yuan a ton, or 9 to 10 percent, to a record high on June 30.
