China auto sales could reach 12m in 2009

Qian Zugen, assistant secretary general of the Shanghai Automotive Trade Association predicted at a news conference November 12 that China could sell 12 million vehicles by year end to surpass the US to be the world’s No. 1 auto market.

In the first nine months of 2009, Chinese vehicle sales was 9.66 million units, up 34.2 percent from a year earlier.
