CAAM expects 30 mln unit sales in 2015

The China Association of Automoblie Manufacturers (CAAM) expects vehicle sales in China to reach 25 million units in 2015, making up 30 percent of the global production, according to 21st Century Business Herald Wednesday.
The report said that CAAM gave a conservative estimate of sales in 2015, which anticipates 30 million units, of which 5 million units account for vehicles sold abroad.
21st Century Business Herald cited sources placing bets that the number may reach 34 million annually in five years.
CAAM is also relying on hopes that the scale of production countrywide will expand vigorously; the ability of energy-saving improve, and that Chinese automakers will occupy a larger room in global acquisitions during the 12th Five-Year Plan (2011 - 2015).
