Vice general manager and brand director of Jiangxi Changhe-Suzuki Automobile Company, Chen Ping.

The Global Times talked with the vice general manager and brand director of Changhe-Suzuki Automobile Company Monday at the Guangzhou auto show. Here are what he said during the interview.

Chen Ping:

"The sales volume of Changhe-Suzuki will reach 18 million units this year; and surge to 20 billion units in two years, when it will finally realize the goal of over 50 million units in the future. "

"Changhe-Suzuki will continue to concentrate on low emission vehicles and become the pilot company in the low-emission vehicle industry."

"Changhe-Suzuki will not focus on developing new energy technology. Traditional diesel vehicles will remain to be mainstream products. Besides, whether battery vehicles, hybrid vehicles, or hydrogen fuel cell buses will be the main direction of new energy concept in the future is still undecided. It is better to develop new energy automobiles when the technique is mature in the future. "
