Hyundai to boost sales by 10%

Hyundai expects to boost car sales 10 percent this year, after a 24 percent jump in 2010. Hyundai and affiliate Kia were among the top performers during the financial crisis, and now plan to gain greater market share with new models.

South Korea's number one automaker says it's targeting sales of 6.33 million cars in 2011, up from 5.75 million last year. Hyundai and Kia shared the top spot for crash safety in a broad review of 2011 models, published by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Hyundai shares rose 43 percent in 2010. Kia stocks soared a whopping 152 percent.
