According to industry insiders, Geely's strategy of meeting customers' needs is very practical. "Many automakers want to make their breakthrough by launching middle-end and high-end vehicles, which is not feasible," said one analyst, who added that it is easier for the Chinese auto market to accept low-end vehicles with a price under 100,000 yuan ($ 15,060).

Geely will launch more than 10 models in 2011, including updated versions of Gleagle Prospect and Gleagle Free Cruiser, GX 7, GV5 and GC7 in two different sizes.

Liu said Geely has made a clear plan about its future, and the most important task for now is to improve its marketing system and develop its brands, which Liu believes will be completed by the end of 2011, when three independent brands will be established.

According to Geely's Ningbo Declaration, released in 2007, the company's strategic transition will be realized in three steps: first, making Geely a famous brand, which has been accomplished; second, becoming an influential brand between 2010 and 2012; third, becoming a competitive brand between 2013 and 2015.
