Spain
Car sales totalled 982,015 units, up 3.1% on the year, in 2010. The first part of the year was strong for the sector. The second one, however, with the end of the Spanish Government Plan 2000E, which supported the purchase of new cars with low CO2 emissions, and the higher value-added tax (VAT) was weaker.
