Lancer Ex has Chinese name

Chinese automaker Southeast Motor announced Wednesday that its Japanese partner Mitsubishi Motors' Lancer EX will be produced in China and go on sale in December.

Lancer Ex's Chinese name is Lanse Yishen, and its starting price is expected to range from 130,000 yuan to 190,000 yuan. That's almost 10,000 yuan cheaper than the imported Lancer Ex.

Customers can choose between the 4B10 1.8L and 4B11 2.0L engine.

The Lancer Ex competes with the Dongfeng Honda Civic and Changan Ford Focus.
