Terry Stillman is one of the four foreign test drivers in the Global Times Test Driving Team. He told the Global Times many times that his favorite car is the Mini Cooper.
"I drove my first car, a Porsche in Kenya when I worked for that company.
After six years, I bought my first car Mini Cooper in Canada in 1966 and then I brought it to New Zealand. It's green and white. I fell in love with the Mini when I just sat in it. I wouldn't give anyone the chance to drive it. It's quite happy when driving. All the time, I want to drive it. I changed almost every part of the Mini.
My father didn't allow me to drive at a young age. In western countries, people used to start driving at the age of 14! And even those who drive at 18 are not safe.
I think 25 is a proper age to drive and car insurance is expensive for people under 25 years of age because it is a big risk. Young people usually drive recklessly."
Terry Stillman has his Mini pulled out of the gully after his brakes gave out during a New Zealand Motor Rally.
