Price of domestic vehicles increases 0.16% in June

The National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said yesterday that the price of domestic vehicles maintained stability - up 0.16 percent month-on-month and 0.45 percent year-on-year- according to reports monitoring 36 major cities.

The price of passenger cars decreased 1.66 percent from a month earlier, with decreasing amplitude 0.93 percent higher than that of May. The price was down 2.08 percent from a year earlier.

The price of commercial vehicles saw a monthly increase of 2.48 percent and a yearly increase of 3.26 percent in June. Imported vehicles were still on high price levels, up 2.28 percent month-on month and 7.30 percent year-on-year.

In the respect of passenger cars, the price of basic types and sport utility types each decreased by 0.23 percent and 3.43 percent from May, while the price of minibuses increased by 0.97 percent month-on-month.

The price of domestic vehicles is expected to maintain stable, the NDRC said.
