BAW to cooperate with Chongqing Yinxiang on mini-car production

Beijing Automotive Works Group and Chongqing Yinxiang Motorcycle Group Co.,Ltd (hereafter referred to as Chongqing Yinxiang) will hold a signing ceremony of its auto program in Chongqing Tuesday, according to Yinxiang. The two parties will cooperate on mini-car production.

The Mayor of Chongqing and Zhang Xin, deputy manager of Beijing Automotive Industry Holdings (BAIH)'s passenger vehicles department are scheduled to attend the ceremony.

The program is part of BAW's expansion plan onto southwest China, according to BAW.

After the signing, Chongqing will become the second mini-car base of BAW. The first base is located in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province.

Chongqing Yinxiang will provide plant equipment and funding; BAW will be responsible for the products.

Chongqing Yinxiang was founded in 1997 and mainly focuses on motorcycle, general gasoline-driven engines as well as real estate development.
