VW to build e-vehicles

Europe's largest carmaker Volkswagen AG plans to build and sell 10,000 electric cars in China from 2014 to 2018, Bloomberg reported Monday.

VW will produce the electric model at its Chinese joint venture with SAIC Motor Corp and FAW Group Corp as early as 2013 and is considering a model specifically designed for China in 2018.
