Press conference held before the 8th Guangzhou Auto Show

The 8th China (Guangzhou) International Automobile Exhibition will be held at the China Import and Export Fair Paizhou Complex, Guangzhou, Guangdong Province from December 21 to 27, a month delayed due to a date conflict with the 16th Asian Games.

Themed "Technology and Future", the exhibition covers 160,000 square meters; it consists of 15 exhibition booths, including 13 for A Zone and two for B Zone.

Wang Xia, director of the event, explained on the exhibition's official blog that due to the Asian Games, prices of accommodation and other services increase considerably. And for that, postponing the expo also makes it more affordable for attendants.

The Guangzhou expo will be the last auto exhibition for 2010, and will fairly summarize the auto industry, Wang added.
