President Xu Hengwu told journalists that after the test, compared with the coordinative gasoline engine, clean diesel engine can save oil up to 30 percent to 40 percent per 100 km, and the emission of carbon monoxide of the entire vehicle can be reduced 92 percent, carbon dioxide reduced 25 percent, nitrogen oxide reduced 98 percent, and particulate matters 99 percent. Compared with the coordinative gasoline engine, the torque of clean diesel engine can increase by 50 percent, and the power and dynamic property are significantly enhanced. Furthermore, clean diesel engine is of small volume, light weight and relatively simple structure, so it is less in failure, easy to maintain and comfortable to sit in.

In the background of constructing a resource-conserving and environment-friendly society, the value of developing clean diesel passenger cars is highlighted. In a sense, it represents the direction of strategic transformation of the global auto industry.
