Rival automaker Brilliance Auto halted car exports to Europe last year after its BS4 and BS6 sedans received a chilly market reception largely due to poor crash test results.

The good news is that crash-test results in China may be improving, according to China Automotive Technology & Research Center, the State-run organization responsible for the program.

One example of that would be Zhejiang Geely Holding Group's new Emgrand EC7 sedan, which became the fifth domestic model to receive a five star rating – the best crash test score in the Chinese rating system.
