The export volume of Great Wall's Haval SUV reached 25,000 units last year, growing 325 percent year on year, earning a profit of $200 million.
Russia, Australia, Italy, and Chile were the main foreign markets of Haval. Being the biggest importer, Russia imported over 7,000 vehicles. The export volume in Australia also increased rapidly, rising to 4,000 units. 1,500 Havals were exported to Chile, becoming one of the best-selling SUVs.
The rebounding of Great Wall's export volume owes to its active moves to exploit the overseas market. Developed countries such as Australia, Italy, and New Zealand are all included in Haval's strategy. The car model obtained 4-star in the A-NCAP crash test in Australia, the same with that of world famous car models like Toyota RAV4, Nissan X-Trial, and Hyundai Tushen.
