BYD Auto sales up 176% in June

BYD Auto sold 176,795 units in the first half of 2009, a 176 percent increase from a year earlier.

The carmaker sold 19 units of its electric plug-in hybrid F3DM in June, and in May, BYD outpaced Chery with 28,017 units which are licensed.

In the second half of the year, BYD will try to reach the goal of selling 400,000 units in 2009. Meanwhile, it will launch five new models which are the S8, G3, L3, S6 and M6.
