Web users expect bright future for Geely

After publishing the pictures of the Geely Lanzhou manufacturing plant on the Global Times website, many young netizens were very excited about the carmaker's latest development, writing about it in the Global Times online forum.

The web users praised the domestic automaker's achievements in development and independent innovation.

One commented that he had visited the production line of the Italian carmaker Lamborghini, and felt the quality of the Geely Lanzhou plant is comparable to that of Lamborghini. Another online user said that after visiting another domestic automaker called Zotye, he thought Geely's production line still needs to be improved.

"BMW and Benz both experienced a long road in development; I'm very confident about our domestic auto brand and wish it a bright future," said an Internet user. Another left a comment saying that after 20 years, the first Geely model will have a relatively high reserve value.

Although Geely cars feature engines with relatively higher horsepower compared with vehicles of the same class, the domestic automaker still needs improve the quality of workmanship and the car's accessories, web users said.
