BYD models to appear in Bahrain

BYD Auto, a leading Chinese car manufacturer specializing in rechargeable battery and hybrid cars, has appointed Fakhro Motors as its sole dealer in Bahrain, the Gulf Daily News reported January 26.

BYD and Fakhro Motors signed the agreement at the Chinese company's head office in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, said the newspaper.

The first batch of BYD vehicles has already arrived in Bahrain, and will be available for sale within days. The company is preparing for the official launch of the first BYD models in the local market in the next few months, according to the report.

Fakhro Motors' director said that the company is very pleased to have been appointed as the authorized distributors of BYD cars in Bahrain.
