Chery Jan. sales exceed 70,000 units

China's automaker Chery Automobile sold 73,433 vehicles in January, up 157 percent from a year earlier, according to an announcement the company released February 4.

Chery aims to sell at least 700,000 units and 900,000 units at most in 2010, and it will launch 17 new models and improved versions this year.
