Chery sales to rise

Chery Automobile, China's largest indigenous carmaker, said Tuesday that it aims to raise vehicle sales by up to 80 percent in 2010.

Chery said in a statement it would sell at least 700,000 vehicles this year but will strive for a target of 900,000 units. It sold roughly 500,000 units in 2009.
