Geely Feb. sales volume up 54.2% year-on-year

Chinese auto maker Geely Automobile Holdings said Tuesday it sold 28,712 cars in February, up 54.2 percent from a year earlier.

However, the automaker's sales volume decreased 35 percent from January, mainly because of the Chinese New Year holiday, the company said in a statement.

Geely sold 72,589 cars in the first two months of 2010, up 95.5 percent year-on-year.
 
The company didn't provide figures for February 2009.
