Nissan Motors, posted a 15 percent fall in operating profit for the third quarter, a drop, but the smallest one among the country's top 3 car makers.
Japan's number two auto maker also joined rivals Toyota and Honda in raising its full-year profit outlook, upping guidance by 10 percent to 535 billion yen. This is slightly lower than a forecast of 550 billion yen in operating profit, from top-ranked analysts for the year ending March 31.
Nissan's sales in the quarter were helped by a slew of new models that boosted growth in key markets. That includes China, where it sold over a million cars last year, and the US Shares of Nissan closed today's trading session , up 2 and a half percent.
