The new Jetta weighs 14 kilogram less than the previous model. There are also some changes to the body size but keeps the same length of the wheelbase. Compared to the 2004 Jetta, the headlights, bumper, grille and fender look different.

Starting from 2010, all Volkswagen vehicles will gradually use the EA111 Turbo Stratified Injection (TSI) and EA888 TSI, which will help to reduce at least 20 percent in fuel consumption and pollutant emissions.

The new Jetta's expected price is about 80,000 yuan.
