The Rely X5, which will enter the market on January 1, 2010 is priced between 150,000 yuan to 170,000 yuan, and will be driven in the 2010 Dakar Rally.

The Rely team has two Rely X5 cars. Each of the cars will be driven by Lu Ningjun, who has competed five times in the Dakar Rally, and Jiang Yaohuan, winner of the 2009 Chinese National Four-Wheel Drive Rally. The drivers will test their cars on November 3 in Italy and have their last training back in China after November 15.

The 2010 Dakar Rally will be held in South America from January 2-17, 2010, with a shorter route of 8,600 kilometers, while the time stage to determine the winner is 5,200 kilometers long.
