The sales volume in Germany decreased 23 percent in 2010, hitting 2.92 million units, the lowest in the recent 20 years. The major reason for the situation is that the country ceased the auto subsidy of the old-for-new service in 2009, when consumers fulfilled their purchasing plan ahead of schedule.
