Geely claims Volvo intellectual rights deal

Volvo China CEO Alexander Klose noted that Geely has high development potential. If Volvo merges with a European company, the development focus may put in Europe and North America. But if it merges with a Chinese partner, it will greatly boost the company's development in the Chinese market.

But Yuan noted that although Geely has experience in international mergers, a lot of challenges are still ahead in the company's bidding for Volvo.

Ford named Geely as preferred bidder for Volvo in October this year.
