GM to resume leasing cars in August

After being off the leasing market for a year, General Motors Co is expected to resume leasing cars in August.

GM has been discussing different leasing options with various banks. It will soon announce details of a car-leasing program that would be limited to higher-end units, such as the Cadillac CTS.

Company spokesman Pete Ternes said the decisions on which models will be covered and the terms of the renewed leasing program haven't yet been reached. Ternes said GM plans to restart some leasing next month.
