Lexus LF-A heading for the US

President and Chief Executive of Toyota Motor Corp., Akio Toyoda announced Wednesday the company plans to build a "fun-to-drive," affordable sports car to be launched within the next few years. The company also confirmed it is bringing the Lexus LF-A, a high-end sports car, to the US market.

Toyota US executive Jim Lentz said the Lexus LF-A sports car will appeal to a very small number of American buyers, but will help Toyota demonstrate innovation and technology in its vehicles, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
