GM names Regal as upcoming sedan

GM announced at a dealer business meeting October 14 that the Regal will be Buick's next mid-size sport sedan, according to a statement on its web site.

"The transformation of Buick began with our luxury crossover, the Buick Enclave, and continued this year with the launch of the 2010 LaCrosse premium sedan," said Buick GMC General Manager Susan Docherty.

Though the Regal has been out of the American market for the past six years, Shanghai GM has had a strong sales record for the Regal in China. Last month, 7,791 units of the Regal were sold.
