GM, SAIC in talks about entering India market

General Motors will have talks with SAIC about a possible cooperation on entering the Indian market. The details of the discussions between the two companies haven’t been finalized yet, said a person familiar with the matter.

Once the cooperation is settled, it will help China expand its global market and enter the fast-growing India market. Furthermore, it can increase the profile of GM’s relationship with SAIC, as the two companies have a very strong partnership.

GM is talking to SAIC about opportunities to develop both companies, according to Michael Albano , spokesman of GM Shanghai.
