Japanese brands in driver's position in Tokyo Motor Show 2009

The 41th Tokyo Motor Show 2009 will be held in Chiba, Japan from October 24 to November 4. Japanese brand cars will have a dominant role in the exhibition. The theme of the show is "Fun Driving for the US, Eco Driving for Earth".

Ten countries and one district will participate in the show, featuring 107 companies. The exhibition will cover an area of 21,337 square meters. Most of the European and American automakers will be absent because of the financial crisis. Hyundai, which had rented an exhibition space, announced that it would bow out of the show.

The absence of the main automakers has resulted in a low point for the Tokyo Motor Show. The Japanese automakers will present new energy vehicles as the direction of research in the future after adjusting their strategies.

Now, to consolidate the effect in the market, the search for new breakthroughs and trying to keep the advantage position in the new competitive market has become the common goal of Japanese carmakers.
