Japan's Toyota has retained the company's local targeted marketshare for 2010 of not less than 40 percent, Toyota Thailand president Kyoichi Tanada revealed here Tuesday.
Overall, the car sales in the Thai market for 2010 may reach 750,000 units, Tanada predicted.
Thailand's recovering economy, improving political situation, rising agricultural prices, and oil price stability, are expected to boost the local auto sales by 37 percent year on year, he said.
With the aim to break the 2009 record of the company's sales, Toyota has set its annual domestic sales' goal for 2010 by at least 300,000 units, Tanada said.
Also, Toyota has forecasted the company's export sales in 2010 will reach 330,000 units, or 39 percent higher year on year, Tanada said.
Toyota's projection has been made in light of the rising car demands in major regions during the second half of the year, the president said.
