A book featuring stories of 46 outstanding representatives with disabilities from across the country was unveiled by the China Disabled Persons' Federation Sunday.

The book aims to show the self reliance of people with disabilities, China's achievements in economic and social development, and improvements in programs for people with disabilities, according to the book launch ceremony held in Beijing.

The protagonists of the book, coming from different places, vary in ages and types of disabilities and jobs, and were carefully selected.

The book, which calls for more attention, respect and support to China's disabled, was published by China Braille Press.
