Performers from opera troupes nationwide has kicked off their two-month performances in Beijing, presenting a diversity of traditional Chinese operas.
Hosted by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the
Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the event will provide audiences with a feast of Chinese operas including Pingju Opera, Qinqiang Opera and Chao Opera, all of which are different opera types with local distinctions.
The performances, which will last until mid-August, offer tickets at low prices, so that more people can enjoy the country's intangible culture heritage, said the organizers.
Moreover, a seminar on artistic creation by primary-level opera troupes will be held during the event.
