Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Thursday downed a US "spy" drone in the southern Hormozgan province, official IRNA news agency reported.

The unmanned plane, a US RQ-4 Global Hawk spy drone, was struck down after entering Iran's airspace in the Mobarak Mountain region, the report said.
