"Spiderman: Far from Home," continued leading the Chinese mainland box office on Thursday, China Movie Data Information Network said Friday.
On the seventh day since its debut, the lastest American superhero film set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe raked in about 54.29 million yuan (about 7.9 million US dollars), accounting for more than half of the daily total.
It was followed by "The White Storm 2: Drug Lords," a new Chinese anti-drug action movie, which grossed more than 15.19 million yuan in its presell Thursday. The movie makes its debut on the Chinese mainland Friday.
The Oscar-winning Japanese animated film "Spirited Away" ranked third, grossing about 10.92 million yuan.
"Spiderman: Far from Home" has earned a total box office of 939 million yuan since its June 28 debut on the Chinese mainland.
