The Ambassador of Pakistan to China Masood Khalid will soon finish his mission and will return to Pakistan. Before his departure, Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with him in Beijing on Friday.
During the meeting, Wang said that the China-Pakistan All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership has stood the test of time and enjoys a solid political foundation and popular support, which is unbreakable. "The hearts of our two peoples are always connected. As "iron brothers," we should work together to consolidate and develop bilateral relations and bring more benefits to the two peoples," Wang said. He also spoke highly of Khalid's active efforts and important contributions to promoting China-Pakistan relations during his tenure as Pakistani Ambassador to China.
Khalid emphasized the singular honor of having represented Pakistan in China, a close friend, trusted partner and good neighbor. The ambassador conveyed his gratitude for the continued support Pakistan has received from the government and people of China.
"It was a matter of satisfaction that China-Pakistan cooperation had expanded steadily in recent years and entered a new phase with the advent of the China-Pakistan All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership for a shared future in the new era," Khalid said.
Both sides agreed that the China-Pakistan friendship has provided peace and stability in the region, and will continue to bring benefits to both countries.
