兼职

(jiānzhí) 

A: I recently started a new part-time job. I heard the pay is good.

我最近开始做兼职了,据说报酬还不错。

(wǒ zuìjìn kāishǐ zuò jiānzhí le, jùshuō bàochóu hái búcuò.) 

B: You're so busy with work usually. How do you have time for an additional part-time job?

你平时上班那么忙,哪有时间做兼职啊？

(nǐ pínɡshí shànɡbān nàme mánɡ, nǎyǒu shíjiān zuò jiānzhí a?)

A: I usually go on the weekends. I'm tutoring our neighbor's kids. Those kids really like me, so teaching the class is rather easy.

我一般都是周末去,给邻居家的孩子们做家教。那些孩子们很喜欢我,我上起课来也很轻松。

(wǒ yìbān dōushì zhōumò qù, ɡěi línjū jiā de háizimen zuò jiājiào. nàxiē háizimen hěn xǐhuān wǒ, wǒs hànɡ qǐ kè lái yě hěn qīnɡsōnɡ.)   

B: Then you don't have any time to relax on the weekends.

那你周末就没时间休息了。

(nà nǐ zhōumò jiù méishíjiān xiūxī le.)  

A: It's just two hours of class. Most of my time on the weekends is still mine to do with as I see fit.

我只是去上两小时的课,大部分时间还是由我支配。

(wǒ zhīshì qù shànɡ liǎnɡxiǎoshí de kè, dàbùfen shíjiān háishì yóuwǒ zhīpèi.)
