Chinese netizens showed their excitement online on Monday after Chinese-Canadian singer Kris Wu announced on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo that he will be releasing his latest single Poxiao, or Dawn, on Wednesday, the day of the Qixi Festival, also known as Chinese Valentine's Day.

Wu also posted the cover for his new single on Sina Weibo. The cover is a bird's-eye view of a city covered by the first rays of the morning sun against a blue and partly cloudy sky.  

"I am so flattered and touched that our idol wants to give us fans a surprise during the Qixi Festival," one netizen commented on Sina Weibo in a post containing several emojis of an excited face.

"What a poetic name! The photo for the cover is so professional. I believe the song will be as good as the cover," another netizen posted.
