A: That typhoon in the south has had a pretty big impact the past few days.

这几天南方的台风影响很大啊。

B: Yup. I heard that wind speeds have reached level 16, 56 meters a second. It's rather frightening.

A: Beijing has been raining constantly the past few days. It seems this typhoon is pretty fierce.

B: I heard the news say that more than 30 people have lost their lives due to this typhoon.

A: I hope this number doesn't increase. Let's think if there is anything we can do.
