The
Ministry of Culture and Tourism, together with related departments, will further cut ticket prices for state-owned scenic areas to boost consumption potential, said an official with the ministry.
During the first half of 2019, the average expenditure on education, culture and entertainment among Chinese residents was 1,033 yuan (146.50 US dollars), a year-on-year increase of 10.9 percent, said Wang Xiaofeng at a regular press briefing on policies Friday, adding that culture and tourism consumption has continued to increase.
Wang also said that qualified culture and tourism consumption locations that have strong demand will be prioritized for 5G network coverage.
