Chinese artist Li Zi's installation work Flavours and other new series will be presented at the VISIONAREA Art Space in the Vatican for her solo exhibition Frammenti e Connessioni (Fragment and Connections).

The space is a project born from the minds of artist Matteo Basilé and entrepreneur Francesco Carducci, under the sponsorship of the Fondazione Roma Terzo Pilastro. Formally a chorus club hall, the building was renovated into a visual auditorium devoted to the promotion of contemporary art, while keeping a balance between rigorous management and fascinating creativity.

Li earned her bachelor's and master's degrees at the Hubei Institute of Fine Arts. She has been invited to hold solo exhibitions or join group exhibitions in China, Switzerland, France, Italy, Germany, the US and Malaysia.

Her works presents obvious Italian classicism but never lacks the features of modern art such as innovation, rebelliousness and novelty.

Li's work Flavours triggers both the senses of smell and sight at the same time, turning alienated viewers into participants who interact with the work by clearing up the distance between the work and the audience, and breaking up the boundary between Eastern and Western ideologies.

The art exhibition is scheduled to run from Sunday to October 27.
