Chinese netizens were reluctant to say goodbye to Chinese boy group Nine Percent on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo after the group held their farewell concert in Guangzhou, capital city of South China's Guangdong Province on Saturday.
The hashtag for Nine Percent's farewell concert has earned 660 million views on Sina Weibo.
The group members, including Cai Xukun, the leader of Nine Percent, and Fan Chengcheng, Chinese actress Fan Bingbing's brother, hugged on stage as they were moved to tears at the end of the concert.
"I think I will never be able to follow an idol group like Nine Percent again. I feel so grateful for the happiness you have given me. When the last beam of light darkened on the stage at the concert, I knew that the age of Nine Percent was over, and the era that belongs to each of you has begun. I believe everyone in the group will have a bright future," Chinese netizen Zhunagezhul posted on Sina Weibo.
Nine Percent officially debuted on the reality TV show Idol Producer on streaming platform iQiyi in April 2018. The group released their debut album
To the Nines on November 20, 2018, bringing in more than 10 million yuan ($1 million) in revenue.
