China's music service provider Tencent Music Entertainment will launch its first Tencent Music Entertainment Awards on December 8, announced company CEO Peng Jiaxin. The awards ceremony will take place in Macao with the theme "It's t1me for music."

The upcoming awards marks the music giant's effort to boost its original content and celebrate the historical changes brought about by musicians, music and the teams behind them.  

Tencent Music Entertainment also thanked various international studios such as Universal Music, Sony Music, South Korea's SM Entertainment and France's Believe Digital for their cooperation. The group will soon reach an agreement with William Morris Endeavor to help discover potential talent and overseas musicians.
