The national family sailing race culminated its 2019 season in Haikou, South China's Hainan Province on Sunday, with more than 300 people participating in the series this season.
The 7-month-long series traveled to 12 cities this year. Hobie Getaway and Hobie T2 competitions were the main disciplines.
Liu Weidong, secretary-general of the Chinese Yachting Association (CYA), said the scale of the series is likely to expand next year, as this season saw a rise in popularity of the sport.
The family sailing series is a tournament initiated in 2018 and governed by the Chinese Yachting Association, which aims to promote grassroots sailing.
