A new art center for boosting a variety of cultural facilities will be built in Chengdu, Southwest China's Sichuan Province, according to a cooperation agreement signed on Monday by two Chinese companies.
The seven-floor center will cover an area of about 59,000 square meters with cultural facilities including 1,220 grand theaters and 400 multifunctional halls.
The art center is committed to enhancing the quality of life in the city through culture, promoting the in-depth integrated development of culture and tourism, and becoming a model for a location covering multiple urban cultural functions such as tourism, leisure, performing arts and art education.
